Ghosts of Prison Pasts In-Person

You may – or you may not – believe in Ghosts. However, please recall Albert Einstein’s Theory, E=MC²: Energy does not disappear, it comes back in different forms. Judy Gail Krasnow, storyteller, author and Founder of the Jackson Historic Prison Tours experienced this “altered” energy first-hand. Moving into Michigan’s First State Prison some ten years ago, she had many visitations at Armory Arts Village, now the name of the old prison re-purposed into a resident artists’ community. She was not alone either in experiencing these vivid moments or alone in her apartment, formerly 36 prison cells. Hear her tales of the apparitions of prison past, of her EVP “interviews” with some of them, of their pursuit of her in an underground tunnel, and how they may well be the ones that lured her to move into the old prison to tell its history to begin with. You won’t forget this evening of “The Ghosts of Prison-Past” told by a seasoned storyteller.  Ms. Krasnow will be autographing copies of her book, JACKTOWN: History and Hard Times at Michigan’s First State Prison, which will be for sale for $20.00
