Tale of the Cupcake/Muffin Wars - Begin Date

Tale of the Cupcake/Muffin Wars - Begin Date

Dearborn Heights City Libraries are going to continue with our latest “something different” this summer for the cupcake/muffin wars.  The contest is virtual.

Participants decorate a cupcake, or muffin, as best they can, to match the theme or slogan of the summer.  This summer, 2021, the slogan is “Tales & Tails” and the theme is: Animals & Stories.  Don’t worry too much if you don’t have on hand decorations that fit in this category, you decorate it how you choose.

Once you have decorated your cupcake, or muffin, take 1 picture of the top, and one picture of the front side view. If you choose, you may include yourself in the side front view to make it only 2 photos.  Or, you can take a 3rd picture, this one with you holding your cupcake.   By the way, any photos sent to us give us permission to use in our social media platforms and on our website.

Go to https://forms.gle/WwriwCccsL2hgznB7 from June 18th- July 16th to fill out the entry form and upload your photos.  If you don’t have a google account, or don’t want to create one, just for this, then you can always send the following, along with your photos, to Johnfkennedyjrlibrary2018@gmail.com:

First & Last Name, Age, valid phone number, & which branch of the Dearborn Heights City Libraries you go to the most; John F. Kennedy, Jr. (JFK) or Caroline Kennedy (CK)

1 entry per person, no matter what branch chosen.  All entries must be received by midnight of July 16th.
Judging will be done for 3 age groups; 0-10, 11-17, & 18+.  For each age group there will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prize.

Winners will be notified via email.  Prizes will be available for pick-up sometime in August.
